“And God said, Let
there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light,
that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.”
-Genesis 1:3-4
Our Father, which
art in Heaven:
We
ask that you will forgive us for our sins.
Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. God we know that you are our light, because
light is good. We thank you for being
our light. You are our light, and our
salvation. In you is the fountain of
life, and in your light, we shall see light.
You send your light, and your truth.
You delivered our souls from darkness to walk in your light. We are blessed because we know your joyful
sound, and we walk in the light of your countenance. Your light is sown for the righteous, and the
light of the righteous rejoice. You are
the Lord, and you have showed us your light.
Your light is sweet. We will not
call light darkness, and darkness light, for that is evil. For if we do evil, we hate the light (John
3:20), and we have not come to the light.
But, if we do the truth, we have come to the light (John 3:21). You are the light of the world, and because
we believe in you, we will not abide in darkness. Thank you for being our light of the world,
where you’re always shining bright!
