REST IN JESUS

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”
-Matt. 11:28-

Our Father, who art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  We ask that you will increase in us, as we decrease in ourselves.  If we completely surrender our lives to you, we will find and have rest in you.  The busyness of our lives, at times makes us tired and weary, but you told us to come to you, all of us that labour and are heavy laden, and you will give us rest.  Here we are Lord, coming to you, as humble lowly servants, seeking to have rest in you.  God you give rest unto your people, according to what you have promised.  You told us to rest in you, and wait patiently.  We know in you, we can find rest for our souls.  You give us rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.  We desire to get away from the busyness of our lives to find rest in you.   We need a refreshing in our spirits, and when we rest in you we will have that refreshing in our spirits.  We will rest in you!

Trusting in God

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5

Our Father, which art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  Lord, we open our hearts to trust you, not relying on our own understanding, but knowing you have control over all.  We trust in your ability, your character, and totally rely on your strength.  We do not depend on our native instincts, but we depend on your instincts.  You are our rock, and in you we trust.  We know that if we trust you, we can rejoice, knowing that you will save us from the enemies who persecute us.  We are helped if we trust you, and our hearts greatly rejoice because you are our strength and shield. If we put our trust in you, we shall be safe.  We, the righteous, shall be glad, because we trust in you. We are blessed when we trust you, and we are not desolate.  We must trust in you at all times, for we are your people, and our hearts are before you, because you are our refuge.  We know that you are good, you are a strong hold in the day of trouble, and you know us if we trust in you.  As we draw near thee, O God, we put our trust in you that we may declare your works.  Our confidence is in you, and not in man.  We will trust in you forever. We trust in thee, O Lord, because you are OUR God.  Let the words of our mouth, and the meditation of our heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, our strength, and our redeemer.

Respectfully Submitted,

Obeying Jesus

“For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”
-Romans 5:19-

Our Father, who art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  Lord, we have disobeyed you many times, and have gotten into trouble. We have willfully disobeyed, just as a child disobeys their parents.  We have failed to obey your rules and commands.  We often have obeyed the world’s rules and commands, and ignored your word and voice.  We know that when we fail to obey your voice, your rules, and commands, it causes us to have a rebellious and foolish spirit. And having a rebellious and foolish spirit is not of you.  As we disobey you, you discipline and correct us when we have failed to follow your guidance.  Being disobedient to you is not in your will. Today, we want to obey you, and submit to your will and authority.  By us obeying your word and your voice, we will not go astray.  By obeying and serving you, we shall spend our days in prosperity, and years in pleasure (Job 36:11).  As we obey you, we are your people, and we are blessed.  To obey is better than to sacrifice.  We want to be obedient to your will.  We want to be obedient to the Bible.  We are not perfect, at times we will disobey, but we will strive to be obedient to you.

Discerning of the Spirits

“And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.”
-Ezekiel 44:23-

Our Father, which art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  We pray that we become discerned spiritually.  We pray that we will have in us the gift of the discerning of the spirits.  We are living in the end times, and we desperately need to recognize, distinguish, and perceive right and wrong. We pray that we shall be taught the difference between the holy and profane, and it will cause us to discern between the clean and unclean. We pray that we will be able to put a difference between holy and unholy, and between clean and unclean.  We ask that you will grant to us a wise man’s heart, because he discerns both time and judgment. For in the end times, many (hypocrites) can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but cannot discern this time.  Help us, O Lord, to know the end times. We know you are coming back soon.  We do not desire to turn away from sound doctrine.  For many have turned away from sound doctrine, and after their own lust (pleasures), and have looked for leaders who will teach them what they desire to hear (itching ears).  But, God we pray that you will allow us to be aware and alert of the false doctrines. Make us aware of the FALSE teachers (pastors, teachers, evangelists, ect..) who are among us, who privily will bring to us damnable heresies. We ask you again, O Lord,  give us the wisdom and the knowledge to discern between the righteous and wicked and between him who serves you Jesus, and him who does not.  Lord we pray this prayer, in Jesus name.

Love you,
