Rest

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”
-Matt. 11:28-

Our Father, who art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  We ask that you will increase in us, as we decrease in ourselves.  If we completely surrender our lives to you, we will find and have rest in you.  The busyness of our lives, at times makes us tired and weary, but you told us to come to you, all of us that labour and are heavy laden, and you will give us rest.  Here we are Lord, coming to you, as humble lowly servants, seeking to have rest in you.  God you give rest unto your people, according to what you have promised.  You told us to rest in you, and wait patiently.  We know in you, we can find rest for our souls.  You give us rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.  We desire to get away from the busyness of our lives to find rest in you.   We need a refreshing in our spirits, and when we rest in you we will have that refreshing in our spirits.  We will rest in you!

CHANGE

"And if He change it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy."
                 -Lev. 27:33-

Our Father, who art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us of our sins. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  The world is changing, but you never change.  We know that you are always the same, Jesus.  Today, we want to ask you to help us change for the better.  We look to you for a change, whether it's in our personal lives, on our jobs, in our homes, through our finances, Lord just a change.  We experience things in our lives that sometimes causes us to change for the worse.  The situation may not change, but help us to change in the situation.  Lord we thank you for the changes in our lives.  We ask you to change our minds to be like you, and not of this world.  We ask you to change our hearts to be in love with you more.  We ask you to change our ways to only please you.  We ask you to change our world view to be a biblical world view.  Not only when you bring and give us the change, we will accept the change from you, Jesus.  "A wonderful CHANGE has come over us."

HOLY AND HOLINESS

“And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean”

-Leviticus 10:10-

Our Father, who art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  God you are holy, and you want us, your people, to be holy.  We acknowledge and recognize your holiness.  There is nothing, unholy about you Lord.  There is none as holy as you. Your name is holy. You told us to sanctify (be set apart from the world) ourselves, and we shall be holy, for you are holy.  There is none holy as you.  Lord, you told us to put a difference between holy and unholy, and clean and unclean.  We don’t want to be unholy in your sight.  We don’t want to be cast away from you presence, but we want to be in your holiness.  We will worship you in the beauty of holiness.  We will remember your holiness.  Lord you are holy, and we will strive to live a life of holiness in this sinful world.

Grace and Mercy

“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” –Gen. 6:8-
“But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” –Gen. 39:29-

Our Father, who art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  Your grace and your mercy God we thank you for them.  There are many times we are not worthy of your grace, but you give it to us. It is your grace that is sufficient for us, and our strength is made perfect in weakness.  We thank you for giving us mercy, even at times when we have done wrong to you.  You granted us, your mercy.  We have found grace in your eyes.  Lord today, we thank you for the grace and the mercy that you give to us, and we will not take it for granted!
