"Wisdom and Understanding"

"Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that get understanding."
-Proverbs 3:13-

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  The fear of you is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.  The fear of you is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.  The fear of you is the instruction of wisdom.  We ask that you will give us wisdom and understanding, for only you give wisdom and understanding.  There is no wisdom, nor counsel, nor understanding against you, Lord.  We know that the wisdom from above (from you) is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.  You give wisdom to those who ask.  If we lack wisdom, we can ask you, and you will give to all men liberally, and upbraided not.  We know that happy is the man that findeth wisdom and get understanding.  You told us to get wisdom and understanding, and forget them not.  We know that wisdom is the principal thing, therefore we must get it, and with all thy getting we must get understanding.  If we get wisdom it is good for our soul, and if we keep understanding, we shall find good.  Wisdom strengthens the wise, more than ten men in a city.  Our mouths shall speak of wisdom, and meditation of our hearts shall be of understanding.  You give wisdom, and out of your mouth, Lord, come knowledge and understanding.  We will seek and pursue your wisdom Lord, because the wisdom that is not from you is earthly, sensual, and devilish.  We ask for your wisdom, Lord Jesus, and we thank you for your wisdom.

“Guarding Our Thoughts (Mind)”

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:”

-Philippians 2:5-

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  The things we think in our hearts, that is who we could become (Proverbs 23:7), whether we think about holy things or unholy things. We ask you to help us to guard our thoughts, Lord, because we struggle daily with unholy thoughts that are not pleasing to you. We often, allow our eyes to watch (on television, internet, ect..) and listen to unholy things, which causes our thoughts to travel to harmful places that Satan has set up for us to fail, and to be out of your will.  We know if we feed our minds junk food (unholy things), then we are feeding our flesh.  But if we feed our minds healthy food, it will bring goodness to our spirit.  We realize, that we have to do our part, in what we feed (place) into our minds, and the choices we make can have an effect on us.  We know that we cannot be conformed to the things of this world, but we have to daily be transformed by the renewing of our minds that we will prove what is good, acceptable, and your perfect will.  We will gird (protect and be prepared) up the loins of our mind, and protect our thoughts from allowing unholy things to invade it.  We will think on things that are honest, just, pure, lovely, and of a good report.  Lord, the thoughts that you think towards us are thoughts of peace, and not of evil, but to give us an expected end.  Help us to guard our thoughts from evil thinking, so we can glorify you!

Give Us Peace

“The Lord will bless his people with peace”

-Psalm 29:11-

Our Father, which art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  Lord, we ask you for peace.  We know that we must seek peace, and pursue it. As we seek peace, and pursue it, please grant us peace in our minds, hearts, homes, our place of employment, and with our personal relationships.  We know that you will keep us in perfect peace, if our minds are stayed on you, and if we trust in you.  We desire to have peace, where disharmony in our lives has made residence.  Please allow peace to live in our hearts as the wars of our challenges, at times have drained all of our strength to endure.  You told us not to allow our hearts to be trouble, because you have left us peace, not as the world, but as you have given it to us.  We know that as the raging storms, at times, shake the foundation in our lives, that you will calm the storms, and give us peace.  Past issues or challenges, have settled and disturbed our hearts, and has kept us from moving forth into your will, we want your peace.  The world will continue to go through chaos and battles will continue to between nations, we need your peace.  Not only, are we seeking peace in our challenges, but we desire to live in peace with all men, because we know that peacemakers are blessed, and are called your children.  Lord, we know that we can receive your peace, if we keep your law. “My son (daughter)forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments. Proverbs 3:1-2, “For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.” Thank you for blessing us with peace.

Lead Us Lord

“And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:”

-Exodus 13:21-

Our Father, which art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  We ask that you will lead us, dear Lord, by your spirit, and with your guidance.  We want to follow you in our lives.  We know that by you leading us, we must, hear and listen to your voice.  We are led by you to the still waters (calmness of life).  We know that you will lead us in the path of righteousness for your name sake.  We know that you will lead us in truth, and will teach us your ways, because you are the God of our salvation.  We know that you will lead us on the plain path and in the land of the up righteous, so that our enemies will see your goodness. There are decisions that we bring before you, and we need your guidance for our decisions. There are times we face challenges in choosing and making the right choices, that will please your will, but instead we please our flesh. So God, help us, and bring light (clarity) to the very uncertain place (decisions) that has caused our eyes to become dim, even though, you have already given us the answer.  Just as you led, the Israelites through the wilderness, God lead us as we go through our seasons of wilderness.  We want you to lead us to and through your grace.  We want you to lead us into the fullness of joy, which is everlasting.  We want you to continue to lead us to our destiny, and fulfilling our purpose on earth.  We want you to lead us to eternal life. We are in agreement with Lyricist, Doris Atkers, song, “Lead me (us), guide me (us) along the way, Lord if you lead me (us), I (we) will not stray.”
