Worshipping You, God

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
-John 4:24-

Our Father, who art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  We are created to worship you.  God we give you reverence.  We honor you and we magnify your name.  We worship you in spirit and in truth.  We will not worship other gods, or strange gods, because you are a jealous God.  Our lifestyle will be worship.  We will worship you with our first fruits (tithes and offering).  We will worship you with a pure and righteous heart.  We will worship you in the beauty of holiness. We will worship you with our thoughts.  We worship you with our time.   You desire that all nations, worship you. And we pray for our nations to worship you. We will come and worship you, bow down, and kneel before you, our maker. You are worthy of our worship, and we must worship you while you are near.  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.-John 4:23-

Humbling Ourselves and Leaving Pride

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
-1st Peter 5:6-

Our Father, who art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  Lord there are, times we have the spirit of pride, and it brings us low (sink). But, when we have the spirit of humility, it upholds honour (Prov.29:23).  Lord, we have had moments, that we have walked in arrogance, and our pride has brought us shame, but when we came to ourselves (sense-spirit) being lowly brought us wisdom.  Being prideful brought contention between our past and present, because we had forgotten the places (past, challenges, dark moments) we had once been, and how you delivered us, so we looked down on others in the same circumstance.  You, Lord had to remind us, that our pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.  Today, we desire to leave our pride, and walk into the spirit of humility.  We humble ourselves.  You told us better it is to be of a humble spirit, than to divide the spoil with the proud.  For you resist the proud, and you give grace to the humble.  We will not exalt ourselves to a throne, or pedestal, because only you are to be exalted.  We will humble ourselves in your sight, and you will lift us up. We will humble ourselves under your mighty hand, and you will exalt us in due time.

In Your Presence

And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

Exodus 33:14

Our Father, who art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  We know that you exist and that you are everywhere.  There is no place that your presence is not there.  There are many times, we leave your presence, but you constantly remain.  When we are away from your presence (not in daily prayer, reading the word, following your will for our lives, being in the spirit of God) we are hopeless without you.  There is no guidance, when we have not gotten into your presence.  We are not following your will when we decide to keep from being in your presence.  Our relationship is unsteady and shaken when we are not in your presence.  Oh, how we long to be in your presence. Today, we are yearning to be in your presence.  You fill us (spiritually) with your glory being in your presence.   Our hearts and minds are still when we get into your presence.  We are spiritually intact with you, when we are in your presence.  There is fullness of joy in your presence.  Being in your presence gives us rest.  Being in your presence leads us down the righteous path.  Please don’t cast your presence away from us, for we will do our part at getting into your presence.

God's Power

“Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.”
-Job 37:23-

Our Father, who art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Lord we know that your power is given in Heaven and in earth.  We ask for your power because we are weakened vessels.  You give us power when we are faint, and our strength is increased.  We excel in your strength because of your power.  Your power is excellent, and there is no GREATER power than you.  You have redeemed our souls from the power of the grave (situations).  We are girded by your power, and it rules forever.  Because of your power, our sins are forgiven.  The earth was made by your power.  We ask that you will continue to allow your power to dwell in us.  You give us power to cast out unclean spirits in your name Jesus, even within ourselves.  We have power over the enemy. Lord we want the power of you to rest upon us.  Jesus, you were crucified through weakness, but you lived by the power of God.  We your people want to be strong in you, and in the power of your might.  Lord we WANT your power.

Obeying You Lord

“For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”
-Romans 5:19-

Our Father, who art in Heaven:

We ask that you will forgive us for our sins.  Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.  Lord, we have disobeyed you many times, and have gotten into trouble. We have willfully disobeyed, just as a child disobeys their parents.  We have failed to obey your rules and commands.  We often have obeyed the world’s rules and commands, and ignored your word and voice.  We know that when we fail to obey your voice, your rules, and commands, it causes us to have a rebellious and foolish spirit. And having a rebellious and foolish spirit is not of you.  As we disobey you, you discipline and correct us when we have failed to follow your guidance.  Being disobedient to you is not in your will. Today, we want to obey you, and submit to your will and authority.  By us obeying your word and your voice, we will not go astray.  By obeying and serving you, we shall spend our days in prosperity, and years in pleasure (Job 36:11).  As we obey you, we are your people, and we are blessed.  To obey is better than to sacrifice.  We want to be obedient to your will.  We want to be obedient to the Bible.  We are not perfect, at times we will disobey, but we will strive to be obedient to you.
