"But the fruit of
the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance”
-Galatians 5:22-23
Our Father, which
art in Heaven:
We
ask that you will forgive us for our sins.
Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within
us. We want to walk in your Spirit, and
not after our flesh. We will walk in
your spirit, and we will not lust after the flesh. Our desire is to walk in your spirit, and we
must have the fruit of the Spirit in our lives in order to walk in your
spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is love,
and love is of you (God), we must have and show love to people. The fruit of the Spirit is joy, and in your
presence is the fullness of joy, and we want to have your joy. The fruit of the Spirit is peace, and we must
seek peace, and pursue it. The fruit of
the Spirit is longsuffering, for you are longsuffering (Numbers 14:18), and we
must have longsuffering, despite our obstacles.
The fruit of the Spirit is gentleness, for your gentleness will make us
great (Psalm 18:35). The fruit of the
Spirit is faith, and you told us to have faith in you. The fruit of the Spirit is meekness, and if
we are meek we will inherit the earth. The fruit of the Spirit is temperance, for you
want us to have self-control in our attitudes and the way we live. We will make it our obligation to have the
fruit of the Spirit in our lives daily. “If
we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit.” –Galatians 5:25-
