Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about
thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
-verse 3-
Our Father, which art
in Heaven:
We ask that you will
forgive us for our sins. Create in us a
clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Lord, we will not
forget your law, and our hearts will keep your commandments. For
length of days, and long life, and peace, shall be added to us. Mercy and truth we will not forsake, but we
will bind them about our neck; and write them upon the table of our
hearts. We shall find favour and good
understanding in the sight of you and man.
We trust in you with all thine heart; and we do no lean unto our own
understanding. We
acknowledge you in all our ways, and you direct our paths. We will not be wise in thine
own eyes: but we will reverence you, and
depart from evil. We honour you with thy
substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: You are our confidence, and we will put all
of our trust in you.
