“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of
God, that he may exalt you in due time:

Our Father, who art
in Heaven:
We
ask that you will forgive us for our sins.
Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Lord there are, times we have the spirit of
pride, and it brings us low (sink). But, when we have the spirit of humility,
it upholds honour (Prov.29:23). Lord, we
have had moments, that we have walked in arrogance, and our pride has brought
us shame, but when we came to ourselves (sense-spirit) being lowly brought us
wisdom. Being prideful brought
contention between our past and present, because we had forgotten the places
(past, challenges, dark moments) we had once been, and how you delivered us, so
we looked down on others in the same circumstance. You, Lord had to remind us, that our pride
goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Today, we desire to leave our pride, and walk
into the spirit of humility. We humble
ourselves. You told us better it is to
be of a humble spirit, than to divide the spoil with the proud. For you resist the proud, and you give grace
to the humble. We will not exalt
ourselves to a throne, or pedestal, because only you are to be exalted. We will humble ourselves in your sight, and you
will lift us up. We will humble ourselves under your mighty hand, and you will
exalt us in due time.
